Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, stopped doing the acting roles after her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018. The 43-year-old royal family member and former actress has since worked on documentaries, while her last acting project was Suits.

Markle was recently featured in People’s cover story on March 11, 2025. During the conversation with the magazine, she talked fondly about the legal drama TV series. The Anti-Social actress, who portrayed the role of Rachel Zane on Suits, recounted that she kept the outfit from the first episode of the show. Meghan Markle said:

“It's a time capsule for me. I still have the pencil skirt from the first episode! That’s the one thing I kept.”

She also praised the show when told about Suits finding a new audience since its debut on Netflix:

“I'm not surprised that people are rediscovering Suits, because it was so well written and so well produced.”

Meghan Markle also “loved” the idea of Suits getting a spin-off in the form of Suits LA and called it “a new breath of fresh air.” She was a part of the show for seven seasons (108 episodes) between 2011 and 2018, while her last acting performance was filmed in 2017.

Meghan Markle’s recent Netflix show 'With Love, Meghan,' was dropped on March 4

While the Duchess of Sussex has stayed away from acting jobs, she has continued to do voice-overs and worked on documentaries. Markle’s latest project for Netflix, With Love, Meghan, was released on March 4, 2025. It is a lifestyle TV show executive produced and hosted by the popular media personality.

The Netflix lifestyle reality TV show has eight episodes featuring many guest stars. The likes of Mindy Kaling, Alice Waters, Abigail Spencer, Roy Choi, and many more make appearances throughout the series. The finale, Feels Like Home, culminates with a celebratory gathering, which also features Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex.

The show didn’t have a positive reception, with it receiving 35% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and averaging 36/100 on Metacritic. Meghan’s estranged father, Thomas Markle, is also among the critics of the show. Markle, who has yet to watch the show, gave his verdict based on the clips he has watched so far. He told the Daily Mail:

“Unfortunately Meghan has never been authentic. She has to think about everything. She's not spontaneous. Everything she says is pre-planned and rehearsed. It makes me laugh because I know all her looks and expressions.”

He further adds:

"I know when she's faking it for the cameras. She's trying so hard to be perfect that she tenses up every time the camera is on her… The best cooks are funny, they mess up, they are human. She just wants to be perfect. It's sad because she's trying so hard to stay in the limelight.”

Amidst the negative response, the series has already been renewed for a second season. Netflix has confirmed that the filming for the second iteration has concluded and will drop later this year in the fall.
