Twitch streamer PeachJars alleged that she has dealt with a stalker for multiple years, and expressed that she believes it's no longer worth worrying over. Having dealt with the person for about four to five years, she considers it a “laughable issue” now and says she feels safe despite being threatened in the past.

PeachJars speaks on her stalker

During a recent stream, PeachJars addressed her stalker again, covering some of the harassment she had to deal with over the years. She shared a disturbing voice message from the man, in which he made alarming threats — including to anyone who might try to step in.

Sure, those messages are threatening, but PeachJars is taking it in a mocking and humorous direction, even making it into a "running joke." Most fans were quick to laugh it off, mocking the stalker for their over-the-top and aggressive tone.

The community’s response: Mockery and a bit of concern

Instead of fuel for fear, the threats beget laughter from PeachJars’ audience and a sentiment the streamer herself has now adopted.

On X, a user commented:

"Omg???? how did he fail at his ONLY goal. good on you, BUT ALSO STAY SAFE."

Another user said,

"Bro how you get stalked by your own victim. LMAAO."

PeachJars seems careful to ensure that the stalker is no longer a legitimate threat, though some may have raised suspicions at the lack of protection.

One of her fans said:

Pls be safe girl. I know you don’t feel threatened by him but he could easily become more agitated or see this as encouragement to continue contacting you since you said he’s amusing. Just be careful love."

Another fan, like many others, shared the same concern.

"Just be careful please! Mocking him might just end up sending him into a frenzy where he does something to ya :("

Her comment about feeling "safe" indicates the incident might not be as urgent to address over time.

A Larger Problem That Affects Streamers

Just like her story, there have been other times when female creators who've had to deal with the stalking and the online moral dictate game of a guy who doesn't stop the persistence.

Brynn Woods said on X:

"Calling his parents is diabolical. I took mine to court , he had to lie to a judge in front of his wife."

Such instances understate the inadequacy of legal protection mechanisms for famous people on the internet, since most of the different law enforcement branches cannot intervene until a crime is committed.

PeachJars’ current outlook

While PeachJar is convinced that her stalker has been caught, most of the fans have been across the humblebrag, reminding her that she should always be vigilant.

PeachJars has found peace of mind now, it seems, but her story still shows a problem that is getting bigger and bigger in the streaming industry--a problem that needs more awareness and legal protection.

So, what do you think about this issue? Do you think she should take it as lightly as she is? Or should she actually be concerned?
