"It's my family it makes me feel alone": Ray J issues an apology after Kai Cenat sleepover controversy

A video clip of Kai Cenat with Ray J on the other side of the phone went viral over the last few days. On the phone, Ray J can be heard getting a little hurt by the fact that he was not invited to the streamer's sleepover. The internet was going crazy with netizens questioning Ray J's intentions when he asked to be included in the sleepover. The Never Shoulda Did That singer even mentioned how Kevin Hart and Druski were invited.

This did not go well with Ray J's actress and model sister, Brandy Rayana Norwood. A contact by the name "Rocket", who might possibly be Brandy, messaged the singer on iMessage with a YouTube link to the viral clip, asking:

"Come on Ray? What's going on with you? You're so much better than this!!" - the message reads.

While the screenshot did not show Ray's reply, he posted it on his Instagram story with a lengthy caption. It reads:

"My sister hates who I am! - And all I'm doing is being Myself! I don't know how to be better than who I am. I tried. But I get depressed trying to change when I don't have my wife anymore and I have NO STABILITY!! I'm sorry to my sister for who I am. And my mom - I don't give a F about nobody else's feelings - but when it's my family it makes me feel alone." - Ray wrote.

In addition to what Ray J has posted on Instagram regarding his sister hating him. He explained to his followers that he is just trying to be himself (presumably while being on the phone with Cenat).

In the caption, he also admitted that he does not have his wife, Princess Love, anymore. The two were married in 2016 but filed for divorce in 2020. The couple shares two children together: Melody Love (7 years old) and Epik Ray (5 years old).

The Be With You singer also mentioned his children in the caption of the screenshot. After mentioning that he does not care about other people's opinions except his family's, he also added:

"SO I TURN UP MORE!! STAY TUNED - TO MY KIDS WHO MIGHT SEE THIS LATER WHEN THEY ARE OLDER - JUST KNOW THAT I WORK HARD FOR YOU AND ONLY YOU!! IF IT WASN'T FOR YOU MELODY AND EPIK I WOULDVE BEEN LOCKED UP OR DEAD!! - IM CRASHING OUT TONIGHT" - he ends the caption.

As of now, Brandy Norwood has yet to respond to her brother publicly. However, according to the screenshot and caption posted by Ray J, he opened up to his fans about his current struggles, such as the pressure to be someone else he is not, his marriage, and his desire to be understood.
