Hours after InfoWars reporter Jamie White was killed, his colleague Chase Geiser was swatted in his home. Several X posts were shared from Geiser’s X account. On March 11, 2025, he shared a post writing:
“I just got swatted.”
As understood from his posts, he was swatted twice on the same day. He shared video footage of how he asked to step out of his house, following which the officers cuffed him.
He also posted a video detailing the swatting incident. Chase Geiser recounted receiving a call from the police, initially assuming it was related to Jamie. However, the officer informed him that they were outside his house with a neighbor after receiving a report that someone had broken in, killed his dog and that his family was hiding in the basement.
Since basements are uncommon in Texas, Chase Geiser immediately found the claim suspicious. Rushing home, he spoke with several officers who explained that they had been receiving repeated swatting reports about his property through 311 text messages.
Even while he was outside speaking with them, more false reports kept coming in. He suspected this was connected to an online campaign targeting individuals on a Ukrainian state list, including himself, Jamie, and Alex.
In response, InfoWars founder Alex Jones claimed the event was an attempt to harm Geiser and his family, stating that he had experienced similar swatting incidents multiple times in the past. Chase Geiser also posted security footage of his neighbor interacting with the cops. He wrote:
“Here’s a video of my neighbor, who is a close friend, telling the cops I work for InfoWars after I was swatted today. You can hear the cop respond, ‘NICE!’”
Here's how InfoWars' Chase Geiser was called out of his house at night
Chase Geiser shared another X post on March 12, 2025, at 12:51 PM, writing that he was swatted before 2 AM. He described how several police officers arrived at his home, using a loudspeaker to call his name and instruct him to come outside.
Once he stepped out, they placed him in handcuffs in the middle of the street, though nothing was visible to him. Afterward, officers escorted Chase Geiser back inside, where they woke up his wife and explained that they had received a call from someone impersonating him and making threats against his family.
Austin police reported finding Jamie White unresponsive in a parking lot late March 9, 2025, with visible injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after midnight on March 10, 2025.
As per reports, authorities believed that White was shot while confronting suspects who may have been attempting to break into his vehicle. The individuals involved fled the scene before officers arrived and discovered him with severe trauma.
InfoWars released a statement expressing deep sorrow over White’s death, attributing it in part to local policies. InfoWars vowed to seek justice and continue its work through its platform and audience.
White's sister, Kelly Kneale, shared that he was shot while attempting to stop someone from breaking into his car for the second time. She mentioned that his vehicle had been previously targeted during a holiday trip to visit family. Kneale said it was a tragic loss and was hopeful that those responsible would be found and held accountable.
