The American rapper and businessman, 50 Cent, has once again ridiculed Sean “Diddy” Combs in the latter’s growing legal woes. In an Instagram post that went viral, 50 cent mocked Diddy’s legal woes, stating:
"If Diddy can get Joe he might beat this case 😟but he gonna have to pay a lot of money, there’s no time to prepare! @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi @50centaction."
This is a reference to Joe Tacopina, the criminal defense attorney who infamously represented the rapper A$AP Rocky in his 2021 assault case. The moniker "A$AP Joe" was born when Rocky, during the trial, affectionately referred to his attorney as “A$AP Joe” because of the way he fought for him.
Who is “A$AP Joe”?

Joe Tacopina became quite famous after being involved in various celeb focused legal dramas. He has taken on clients such as Donald Trump, Meek Mill, Alex Rodriguez, and even Julian Khater. His strategic thinking and sharp skills has been instrumental in giving him a reputation as one of the best attorneys in the country.
Even though 50 Cent online suggested otherwise, Tacopina has made it clear he did not represent Diddy because he has other loyalties to attend to.
Why Tacopina Refused to Represent Diddy?
Topicana explained his reason for not joining Diddy's legal team in a conversation on The Breakfast Club, saying:
“I represent Roc Nation; a lot of people there I’m very close with. Jay [Z] and [Roc Nation president] Desiree Perez...they’re like family to me.”
He also hinted at unresolved tension between Diddy and Jay Z, stating:
“I don't think they see eye to eye.”
The stakes of the case were high, and for that reason Diddy’s defense was ethically impossible to undertake due to a conflict of interest.
Diddy’s Life in Legal Limbo

Currently Diddy has some federal charges pending on him, which include alleged racketeering conspiracy, alleged sex trafficking, and several others of similar nature.
His current status is not guilty, but he remains in federal custody while the pre-trial processes drag on. These alarming accusations have sent shockwaves throughout the music world and have made people speculate concerning the fate of Diddy’s business empire.
50 Cent: Hip Hop’s Courtroom Commentator

The flak that 50 Cent gave Diddy is unending, and so has the trolling in the past few months. In December 2024, 50 posted a controversial AI video depicting both Diddy and Jay Z’s arrest with a KRS-One's Sound of da Police soundtrack.
The video was both lambasted and laughed at, however, 50’s usual cynical caption cemented the purpose of the video as “the world’s most unapologetic instigator."
