Rob Lowe is poking fun at a Hollywood tour guide who accidentally mistook him for John Stamos.

The Emmy-nominated actor took to Instagram this week to call out a Hollywood Beverly Hills Tours staffer who mistakenly referred to him as Stamos. “This is John Stamos,” the guide can be heard saying in the clip, as the St. Elmo's Fire alum was sauntering down the streets of Beverly Hills near Rodeo Drive.

A stunned Lowe mouthed to the camera, "What the f–k,” before he approached the tour bus loaded with fans. “Okay guys, am I John Stamos?” Lowe jokingly questioned those sitting on the bus, to which everyone responded, "No!" A few called him by his name, prompting Lowe to tell the employee:

"You gotta get better at your job."

The internet has since begun reacting to the situation with humor, with many appreciating the Parks and Recreation actor for his sense of humor. Here's how one user responded on Instagram, for instance:

Rob Lowe gets pranked: Here's what happened

Upon realizing his mistake, the tour guide shot back by noting that he was just having fun with the mix-up:

"It’s usually about having fun, you know; I didn’t expect to run into people,” he told Lowe.

When the 9-1-1: Lone Star alum learned that it was just a joke, he backed off, noting, “I see.” He then looked to the onlookers on the bus and told them, “Don’t listen to him.” He then walked away as the employee thanked him for his “cool energy.”

Lowe also took to Instagram to document the incident with a caption that read:

“@johnnylowe am I being Punk’d?”

“The people have spoken,” his son, John, jested in the comment section.

Notably, this isn't the first time Lowe has been compared to Stamos. On his 60th birthday, his son, John, posted a family photo with Stamos' face superimposed over Rob's with the caption, “If you could all be so kind, please send some birthday love my Dad’s way… HE’S SIXTY TODAY!!!! Love you forever, pops.”
