Joe Tacopina is slamming the actions of his peer, Tony Buzbee, over the Jay-Z lawsuit.

During a recent interview with Vlad TV, Tacopina, who most famously worked with A$AP Rocky in his murder trial case and won, accused Buzbee of not "caring." He also lauded Jay-Z for standing his ground and fighting back, as he appreciated the rapper's personality.

"I get angry and also sad when I think about that case because there's a beautiful family that was also involved in that, that did nothing to deserve that," he said, referring to the rapper's wife and kids.

Last December, a woman going by Jane Doe levied accusations of s*xual assault against Diddy, though she later amended her lawsuit to also name Jay-Z. She claimed the two assaulted her at a party back in 2000 when she was 13 years old.

Both Jay-Z and Diddy categorically denied the claims, and the former even sued Doe and her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, for extortion and defamation. The suit was recently dismissed, and in response, Jay-Z issued a statement via his record label, Roc Nation, noting Doe and Buzbee were never going to win.

In his statement, Jay-Z said:

“This civil suit was without merit and never going anywhere. The trauma that my wife, children, loved ones, and I have endured can never be dismissed.”

Reflecting on the case, Joe Tacopina said:

"Jay-Z is just a terrific person. He's not well-known by many, he's a terrific person. He's got a wife who's an amazing woman, and he's got children ... And imagine waking up one day and your dad's being called the rapist of a child. It's a disgusting allegation, it's a horrific allegation. And you do not make that allegation as a lawyer unless you are 100% sure that happened, because you're hurting someone's life, you're hurting someone's children, and it's despicable."

He went on:

"Clearly, this lawyer didn't care. And I'm glad to see Jay fighting back, but that's Jay. That's Jay and that's Roc Nation." He then lauded the rapper for fighting the case instead of settling, saying, "He stood on principle and he won on principle."

Business Insider has since reported that the Texas-based attorney has since been dropped in over a dozen cases levied against Diddy in the wake of his loss against Jay-Z. Tony Buzbee, who was set to spearhead these 14 cases, withdrew himself as the plaintiff attorney from them just this week.

Tony Buzbee told the outlet that Jay-Z has since filed a court grievance against him as a way of preventing him from trying further cases in the Southern District of New York.

Diddy remains locked up at a Brooklyn jail on several federal sex trafficking charges. He has categorically maintained his innocence, and the trial is slated to begin soon.
