Chelsea Handler HAS shut down all rumors that she and Conclave star Ralph Fiennes are romantically linked.
The comedian, 50, reflected on the sheer volume of articles that came through in speculation of her relationship with Fiennes, as they were seen leaving the Vanity Fair Oscars Party together arm-in-arm.
“I saw that,” Handler said to Entertainment Tonight. “I saw about 30,000 articles come through. When your publicist sends you an update of the press that you’ve been in daily and I was like, ‘How long is this email?'”
However, she thinks he's not marriage material:
“Ralph Fiennes and I went from one party to another party with a group of people and that is what happened,” the host stated. “I don’t think Ralph Fiennes is marriage material and I don’t think I’m marriage material.”
She also revealed that she seldom dates "celebrities," adding, "I’ve dated maybe a couple in my whole life.”

Ralph Fiennes, 62, wed actress Alex Kingston in 1993, though by 1997, they parted ways. He was also in an 11-year relationship with actress Francesca Annis, though they broke things off in 2006.
Chelsea Handler has been keeping her dating life a secret since her split with fellow comedian Jo Koy in 2022. The two dated for a year, and in a social media post, Handler credited Koy for having “renewed my faith in men” and “in love.”
“This man blew my heart open with love and because of him, my life experience has changed forever,” Handler penned at the time. “To be loved and adored by @jokoy has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. He renewed my faith in men, in love, in being 100% who I am, and I’ve never been more optimistic for the future.”
Just this January, Chelsea Handler revealed that she has no regrets when it comes to their relationship, as she told Parade it was “the first mature ending to a relationship that I was in.”
“My behavior was mature and graceful,” she continued. “I honored the relationship by never actually divulging what happened, and I liked that version of myself. I’ve ended so many relationships where I lacked dignity and I lacked grace, and I was immature and vindictive. And I don’t want to be that way. I want to be better than that. I’m a woman now, I’m not a little girl.”
As for Chelsea Handler and Fiennes' rumored relationship, the rumors first began swirling when the former joked about being attracted to Schindler’s List star at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards.
"You've played a ruthless Nazi, an evil lord and a celibate cardinal, and somehow you've made me want to have s*x with you in all roles," she quipped. "I'm begging you never play Vladimir Putin. I can’t do that again."
During an exclusive Us Weekly cover story, Chelsea Handler called her current dating life “wonderful." She thinks of herself as "honest and upfront with anyone I’m dating that you may not be the only one, and if you need to know, I’ll let you know, but hopefully you don’t need to ask any further questions.”
