“I can hardly wait” — Fans react as Nintendo announces ‘MARIO KART WORLD’ Direct for tomorrow at 6am PT/9am ET

Fans may be thrilled to know that the Direct is scheduled for tomorrow, April 16, at 6 am PT/9 am ET. The official Nintendo X channel announced that its runtime would be "roughly 15 minutes," though at the time of writing, it remains unclear just what fans can expect as an announcement.

Fans have since begun reacting to the news with glee, though a large number of users still can't get past the hefty price tag that comes with the game. For the unversed, Mario Kart World drops on June 5, right alongside Nintendo Switch 2, and retails for $80 in the United States. Here's how one fan reacted on X:

"I can hardly wait"

The comments didn't end there:

"When will it be enough we got 26 Mario kart games," someone quipped.

"Everything we've seen this far says this game will deliver on being an incredible launch title. I still don't know if it justifies the $90 price tag, but I guess we will just have to wait and see," another opined.

"Looks like they've done their best at taking an at-first-view simple title and transformed it into a next gen experience. It certainly looks like fun, but I remain that the cost is a bit too high," one more noted.

"Nintendo has 15 minutes to convince people that Mario Kart World is worth $80. And the franchise is so awesome that it might just pull it off..." one more posited.
