How did Preston Ordone die? Family of TikTok's viral 2-year-old 'Okay Baby' disputes police report

Preston Ordone, famously known as “Okay Baby” on TikTok, lost his life in a car accident. Two-year-old Ordone and his family were involved in the mishap on April 24, 2025, and the child was severely injured.

According to Just Jared, his mother and father were being treated at the hospital. On the day of the accident, the Louisiana State Police shared a statement on Facebook, writing:

“The driver and front passenger, who were both properly restrained, sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital. Preston, who was seated in the rear, but improperly restrained in a child safety seat, also sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.”

According to a police press release, troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop L responded to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 12, west of LA Highway 59. The initial investigation revealed that a 2011 Ford F-150 had been traveling eastbound on I-12 when, for reasons that were still being looked into, the vehicle left the roadway to the right and crashed into a tree.

Meanwhile, Preston Ordone’s grandfather, Glen Norris, dismissed the police’s claim of the kid being improperly fastened to the car. According to WWL TV, Norris claimed that Ordone was restrained properly in the car seat.

As per reports, he stated that the couple was traveling home with Preston Ordone after a visit to the doctor when the accident occurred. Norris mentioned that he spoke with someone who saw the truck crash. Moreover, the witness informed him that Preston was correctly secured in the car seat.

Doctors did everything to save Preston Ordone

Two individuals posted a self-recorded video on Preston Ordone’s mother, Katelynn Norris Ordone’s Instagram account on April 27, 2025. They said that at the time of the accident, Paisley, Preston Ordone’s sister, was at school.

Although not all the details were known yet, they mentioned that the truck had veered to the right off the interstate and hit a tree. The video was captioned:

“This is the hardest post we could possibly make, finding words is still so hard.. We hope that you can help our family in any way possible in this hard time. It still feels so unreal… All your prayers, love and support is needed and appreciated. Thank you.”

They said Katelynn and Jaelan were badly hurt. Katelynn had several broken bones and suffered a serious concussion but managed to walk for the first time that day. Jaelan had to undergo emergency surgery on one of his legs. They also mentioned that Katelynn and Jaelan were not in the same hospital.

As per their statement, Preston Ordone was taken out of the vehicle and rushed to the hospital, where medical staff did everything they could to save him. They added that Preston had a big impact on many people, always making others smile and laugh, and that everyone looked forward to seeing him each day.

They imagined that in heaven, Preston was probably playing in the mud, running along the streets of gold, and wearing golden overalls, adding that he would be deeply missed.
