Twitch political analyst Hasan Piker who is also known as HasanAbi, is back in the public eye, which is a result of reuploading past livestreams and social media posts. The renewed attention stems from clips dating back several years that recently gained traction across various platforms.
The videos, which resurfaced on April 18, 2025, depict HasanAbi recalling events allegedly involving rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs. In one widespread segment, Piker talks about his time at a Coachella music festival afterparty. His stories caused mixed responses online, with some questioning the nature of his remarks and the implications they carried. HasanAbi said,
"I walked into this, like, back, like, sphere. EPCOT-looking thing in the back of, like, the house that P. Diddy was renting and was throwing afterparties at Coachella. And they were playing, like, these crazy, like, these crazy things for people who were high. Not me, of course. I had only a quarter [unintelligble] of mushrooms. And one of the images that they were playing was, like, this little girl... this, like, supposedly attractive very young girl, like, opening up a Christmas gift. And I think I told you about this where I was like, 'This is some real weird Alex Jones-style pedo thing here.'"
Daniel "Keemstar" Keem, a controversial internet commentator, played a key role in spreading these clips on his Drama Alert platform. This led to wider sharing and sparked new talks about Piker's overall social media and streaming presence.
Dan Saltman accuses HasanAbi amid resurfaced tweets and allegations
HasanAbi faces backlash over an old tweet that's come to light again. On April 17, 2025, tech entrepreneur Dan Saltman accused Hasan of slander and shared what he claimed was a screenshot of the tweet. Saltman posted a picture showing a tweet written by Hasan on December 20, 2012. It said:
“I would love to hang in Diddy’s Ciroc Entourage and trickle down bang anything thrown his way.”
Saltman made this public after claiming Hasan had called him a “diddler.”
Saltman, who runs Redact, a tool to help people erase old social media posts, also made other serious claims about Hasan. He said Hasan once visited a brothel that later closed due to human trafficking and tried to get into parties Diddy hosted. He asked why shows like The Daily Show still had Hasan on despite these accusations.
Saltman also said Hasan tried to erase the tweet when news about Diddy began to spread. To poke fun at the situation, he wrote on X,
“We appreciate you purchasing our software to delete these tweets… JK, Hasan is too cheap to buy our software. He must have manually deleted that the second the Diddy news hit.”
HasanAbi's past Twitch bans and controversies
Looking beyond these recent viral clips, Piker has faced punishment from Twitch in the past. In December 2021, Twitch banned him for a week because he kept using language that upset viewers and other streamers. Piker stood by his words at the time, saying there's a difference between systemic oppression and personal expression. His comments added fuel to ongoing arguments about how people understand and use slurs in online spaces.
Not long ago, in March 2025, Piker got a one-day ban after he made a controversial remark during a live stream. He made the comment while reacting to political talk about healthcare programs. Later, Piker explained his statement on social media. He admitted he didn't phrase it well and emphasized that his main criticism was about what he saw as double standards in holding politicians accountable. He mentioned past claims involving public officials.
While HasanAbi grew his audience with his outspoken style and raw commentary, he also drew criticism from all corners of the internet.
