The first look at MrBeast in Love, Death & Robots has fans confused.
In the game, the popular YouTuber embodies the host of a galactic gladiator ring, and in a now-viral tweet on X, an image of the same depicts a scruff, well-defined man with thick black hair and a scar that goes down across his eye.
Fans have since begun expressing confusion in response to the image, with a large number of them poking fun at it as well. Here's how one user reacted, for instance:
"They made him look like Midas from Fortnite"
The comments didn't end there:
"i was just planning to watch this, not anymore though," one user shared.
"So skip that episode. Got it," another naysayer chimed in.
"He looks like Handsome Jack," someone else pointed out.
"Why ruin a good series?" yet another probed.
Here's how the rest of X is reacting:
"Thanks for telling me which episode to skip," one snarky user penned.
"We're getting galactic gladiator before GTA 6," another jokingly pointed out.
"handsome jack meets midas," someone else echoed.
"Can't wait to see S4!" a fourth fan exclaimed.
Users are visibly divided online, and in the meantime, it seems as though only time will tell how well the fourth season of the horror show fares.
Everything we know about MrBeast's contributions to Love, Death & Robots season 4:
Love, Death + Robots will be making a comeback soon with 10 new short films and a diverse voice cast. In the trailer of the Emmy-winning show, which comes out on May 15 on Netflix, MrBeast helms a galactic gladiator ring with mutants that ride dinosaurs. John Oliver, on the other hand, embodies a robot butler.
The animated anthology series, a concoction of sci-fi, fantasy, and horror, will debut new episodes three years after the third season aired. The forthcoming season will reportedly offer a unique blend of humor and horror while introducing new creatures and landscapes of the future.
“This world, it’s a clenched, feculent sphincter. It cries out for a savior. It cries out for me,” a voiceover says as the trailer begins.
As for MrBeast in particular, he joins a star-studded cast comprising Kevin Hart, John Oliver, John Boyega, and Niecy Nash and lends his vocals to an episode titled, The Screaming of the Tyrannosaur.
Over the years, the cult series has nabbed 13 Primetime Emmys and eight Annies, and it also boasts the ACE Eddie, MPSE, and Visual Effects Society prizes.
