Rapper and singer Future, aka Nayvadius DeMun Cash, has appeared in two Billboard interviews throughout his career. On March 26, 2025, the X account “Daily Noud” shared a post writing that the rapper’s parents missed his birth.

The post also shared a screenshot of the Billboard interview in which the interviewer asked Future the reason behind his “toxic” persona. As seen in the screenshot, the rapper allegedly said:

“For as long as I can remember, even from my first moments alive. Both of my parents missed my birth. Since then, it's been a dark journey.”

When the interviewer asked about his parents missing his birth, he allegedly replied:

“Yeah, they just failed to show up.”

However, it must be noted that these claims are unverified as Daily Noud posts fake stories. The channel is the top source for parody hip-hop news, sharing viral content and fictional stories for entertainment.

In an interview with Black Enterprise in 2020, Future’s mother, Stephanie Jester, was asked how her son’s success helped her with business dealings. Jester shared that Future’s success as a recording executive and entrepreneur helped her expand beyond real estate and connect with a broader audience.

This exposure opened unexpected opportunities, including her roles as co-founder of the FreeWishes Foundation and CEO of EmpowHER. Through these initiatives, she uplifted the community, offering support and resources to young people and seniors. The foundation’s goal is to inspire hope, resilience, and determination while helping individuals turn their dreams into reality.

What Stephanie Jester said on Future's 40th birthday and the rapper's take on fatherhood

According to Complex, on her son’s 40th birthday, Jester spoke about embracing blessings, peace, joy, and happiness while looking forward to new opportunities and possibilities in the future. Jester showed gratitude to everyone for their support, emphasizing that the journey wouldn’t be possible without them.

They also acknowledged the importance of faith, saying they never take it for granted. She said:

“I just wanna say happy birthday to my big boy. Happy 40th birthday. He will always be my big baby. No matter what. Every star, every sunshine, he always gonna be my big boy.”

In an interview with Billboard in 2022, the rapper was asked what fatherhood would look like if he married. Future reflected on how his life would be completely different if he were married and raising kids at home, something he never experienced but dreamt about.

He felt that his rock star lifestyle didn’t align with that reality. When making music, he often worries about missing out if he doesn’t create it a certain way. He shared that he had devoted his life to his fans and music, putting everything he loves into it, with an uncertain outcome.

When asked if he could have fame and a successful marriage together, he said:

“I feel like I can have both. When the time’s right, it’ll happen. It ain’t nothing that I’m really chasing. But I do dream of it, and I do want it. I swear I’d probably pick the wrong girl or something, if I was just chasing it.”

Future shared that he never experienced living under the same roof with his kids or being married, but he knows it’s something he would love. While he wasn’t actively focused on marriage, he believed he would be ready with time.
