Tesla’s vehicles are being targeted by vandals, and CEO Elon Musk is not happy about it. According to CBS, the latest attack occurred at a Tesla Collision Center in Las Vegas on the morning of March 18, 2025, resulting in the damage of five cars.
Alongside the burning cars, CBS states the word “RESIST” was spray-painted on the doors of the Collision Center. Elon Musk reshared a video by Elizabeth Helgelien, showing multiple Tesla cars on fire.
He tweeted:
“This level of violence is insane and deeply wrong. Tesla just makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks."
Elon Musk's Tesla vehicles have been vandalized in Las Vegas, Kansas, and Massachusetts
According to ABC, on March 18, 2025, the suspect approached the affected vehicles at the Collision Center in Las Vegas wearing dark clothing and used a Molotov cocktail to ignite the fire. The Police and FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Unit are also investigating the case as an isolated attack as they haven’t identified a suspect yet.
Tesla stores and vehicles in different locations are facing vandalism and targeted acts of destruction. Since Musk began work in The White House to spearhead the Department of Government Efficiency, there have been increased attacks on Tesla vehicles.
Across the United States, attacks were recorded in dealerships, stores, garages, and other places. In Kansas, the police tried to put out smoke emanating from a truck in a Tesla dealership. The smoke spread to another vehicle, but they were able to get it under control.
The police released a statement after:
"The circumstances are under investigation, but preliminarily the fire is being investigated for the potential of being an arson,"
More vehicles were vandalized in Dedham Massachusetts, on March 11, 2025. The police department reported that:
“Words had been spray-painted" on two Tesla Cybertrucks, with all four tires of the trucks and a Tesla Model S being "reportedly damaged."
Musk spoke out against the vandalism on March 17, 2025:
“My companies make great products people love, and I’ve never physically hurt anyone. So why the hate and violence against me? Because I am a deadly threat to the woke mind parasite and the humans it controls.”
Despite criticisms of Elon Musk’s DOGE policies and the resultant destruction of his Tesla cars, President Donald Trump has backed the billionaire and even promised to buy a “brand new Tesla” to show his support.
