‘Don’t they know to stop?’ - Chelsea Handler weighs in on the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni legal situation

Chelsea Handler is known for her crazy sense of humor and someone who has no filter when it comes to cracking jokes. And this time, Handler took a dig at Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's legal feud. You probably have heard about the legal battle that's been going on around after Blake Lively filed a sexual harassment case against her co-actor and director of the film It Ends With Us.

During an interview with Page Six the 50-year-old actress and comedian, Chelsea Handler, spoke about Lively and Baldoni's legal fight and said:

"It’s like you have to break up a fight in a schoolyard playground. … It’s like, ‘Don’t they know to stop?’ Isn’t someone saying, ‘Stop it!’?' ”

After filing the sexual harassment case in December, Lively filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni at the New York Federal court and accused him of serious emotional distress and lost wages. Lively and Baldoni have been in the news for a while now and gained much attention due to their high-profile legal battle.

Chelsea Handler addressed the elephant in the room and openly spoke about the matter. During the interview session with Page Six, Handler talked about Lively and Baldoni's ongoing legal feud and called it a frenzy as she pointed out that they held onto crucial pieces of information and released them from time to time.

Chelsea Handler besides opening up to Page Six regarding Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's legal fight, also took a dig at their feud during the 2025 Critics Choice Awards. Both of them were present at the prestigious award ceremony for their film It Ends With Us.

Handler joked that their legal battle broke the news cycle amid President Trump's second term and jokingly called their high-profile dispute an unpredicted silver lining. However, she did not stop there and went ahead and called Baldoni and Lively's legal feud a distraction on top of that also cracked a joke regarding their movie not getting a sequel.

Justin Baldoni was also fast enough to react by denying all the charges against him. He filed a $250 million lawsuit against the New York Times, as they were the ones to publish the story about his co-actor's complaint.

In between all the lawsuits filed against one another, Baldoni was hugely criticized for releasing private messages between himself and Lively. However, director Baldoni stood his ground by filing a $400 million lawsuit not only against Blake Lively, but also her husband Ryan Reynolds, and Leslie Sloane, who happens to be her publicist. Baldoni accused all of them of extortion as well as defamation.
