Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing another lawsuit. A male escort, identified as John Doe, has accused him of s*xual assault. John has reportedly alleged that Diddy drugged and raped him in a New York hotel room in 2012.
The lawsuit was filed in the Southern District of New York. Billboard reports that it also claims that Diddy threatened him into silence, allegedly referencing the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur.
Diddy is currently behind bars at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center as he awaits the trial for s*x trafficking and racketeering charges. His arrest has already led to multiple lawsuits. Multiple individuals have accused him of s*xual misconduct, coercion, and more.
What are allegations against Diddy in the John Doe lawsuit?
According to the lawsuit, John Doe met Diddy in 2012 through a Florida-based male escort service, a Billboard report suggests. He was invited to New York City, where he joined Diddy at his suite in the Intercontinental Hotel.
Once inside, Doe alleges that he was forced to perform oral and penetrative s*x on a woman who was also present in the room. The complaint further states that Diddy gave Doe a water bottle to drink from and rubbed baby oil on his body, either or both of which allegedly caused him to feel disoriented and lose control. Despite his protests, Diddy then s*xually assaulted and “forcibly anally raped” him, John claims.
Another potentially significant part of the lawsuit comes from Doe’s account of what happened afterward. Per Billboard, he reports that Diddy warned him not to speak about the incident and threatened him, saying,
"You better not say a word to anybody about this. Did you hear me? I’m not f—ing playing with you. If I can get Pac hit, what the f— do you think can happen to you?"
If this statement is true, it potentially implies that Diddy is claiming involvement in the murder of Tupac Shakur, which is one of the hip-hop industry's infamous unsolved cases.
John Doe's lawyers for this lawsuit are Eric M. Baum, Adriana Alcalde, and Brian Silber. They shared a statement with Billboard, in which it was mentioned that John Doe
"is fully willing to cooperate with any law enforcement."
On the other hand, Diddy’s legal team has denied all the allegations of this lawsuit. In a statement, his attorneys dismissed the claims, saying:
"No matter how many lawsuits are filed — especially by individuals who refuse to put their own names behind their claims — it will not change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor."
It continues:
"We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason. Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth, and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail in court."
John Doe’s lawsuit comes just as Diddy is preparing for his criminal trial, which is set to begin on May 5, 2025.
