Detroit rapper Sada Baby reportedly gets arrested on drug warrant

Casada Aaron Sorrell, popularly known as rapper Sada Baby, was reportedly arrested on Tuesday, April 8. According to Fox 2, the Detroit rapper was arrested in Sterling Heights and later transferred to the Macomb County Jail. Reportedly, the rapper was under the radar even since his vehicle was stopped for tinted windows in January 2025.

Elaborated on the January incident, the Fox 2 report stated:

Once police confirmed the driver was Sorrell, he was arrested for the outstanding warrant. The report added that at the time, Police said Sorrell was also in possession of "possible illegal contraband."

Four months later, the substances have tested positive as narcotics, leading to Sada's indictment. Authorities haven't indicated when the rapper is scheduled to appear in court.

Fox 2 reportedly secured court records that reveal Sada Baby had previously been charged in June 2023. The rapper had reportedly been driving without a licence for three years. While stopping him in January 2025, the Sterling Heights Police suspected that he was in possession of illegal substances. According to C&G news, Sada had reportedly posted on social media:

“My truck got profiled because of where I was at the time of night."

Upon inspection and after four months, the rapper was arrested after the inspection came positive for narcotics. According to Detroit News, Sterling Court issued a warrant against the rapper the previous week for "narcotic possession" and "four-year felony". An attorney has reportedly not been listed for Sada Baby.

While Sada Baby hasn't revealed plans for new music, he is known to have a steady presence in the Detroit rap community. The rapper's record was apparently clear until he was arrested in 2023 for driving without licence. At that time, he had pleaded guilty and paid $200 as afine, according to reports.

Sada was arrested for the first time in 2025 for outstanding warrants, and he has now been held on a felony drug warrant. The rapper is reportedly in Macomb County Jail at the time of publishing.
