In a live Twitch video, a drag race ended in a wild crash as fans reacted to the scene.

A Twitch stream went wrong as two cars crashed in a drag race seconds after the start. In a world of constant streaming, there are barely any moments that don't end up on social media, and this horrific accident is an example of this. Live-streamed by The Stoned Vet, a veteran streamer with 20.8k followers on Twitch, the streamer was left in shock as he by chance recorded the high-risk accident that took out two high-performance drag racers.

In this now viral clip, you can see how, in a local drag race, two Mustang drag cars collided with each other about 5 seconds after the start of the race. The car on the left lost control and side-swiped the other Mustang and the barrier on the side. Immediately after the collision, onlookers began rushing down the track on foot, ATVs, and a pickup truck to rescue the drivers and do damage control.

It was soon confirmed that both drivers were okay, and after checking the tracks, it was ruled okay to continue racing, and assumed that it was probably a car malfunction.

Fans react to the drag race crash

Fans showcased mixed reactions to the event, as while some took the crash seriously due to the accompanying danger, others seemed to be joking around.

Twitch chat probably typed ‘L driver’ before the crash even finished.- one user commented.
While another expressed concern for the drivers,- Not only do you have to pray that everyone involved is OK, but now you’re looking at five figures of damage cost repair
Another shared the same sentiment as well, stating,- Wow, that looks intense! Hope everyone involved is okay—drag racing can be so unpredictable.
One netizen said, "Idk, I couldn’t even be surprised if this happened at a drag event. Like, you all run that risk." Talking about the risks of this adrenaline-filled sport.
Another person also talked about the insensitivity of turning something like this into content,- Is live streaming dangerous when it prioritizes entertainment over safety?

Though these accidents are not as common, this is also not the first time something like this has happened and ended up being live-streamed. In 2023, streamer Extra Emily was allegedly rear-ended in her parked car at a red light while she was talking on a live video.
