Youtuber Johnny Somali gets punched by a passerby and gets called racist slur in South Korea amid ongoing case.

Ramsey Khalid Ismael, better known by his alias Johnny Somali, is a live streamer who is known for his controversial behaviour and antics, especially in foreign countries. Now, adding to his host of allegations charged against him in his ongoing case, Somali was seen participating in the rally against the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol when he was attacked.

The streamer, who is banned on Twitch, is facing two counts of obstruction of business, two minor crime act violations and a few other charges. To make his reputation even worse, he was spotted wandering around before joining the protest, where he shouted "CCP (Chinese Communist Party) out" and kissed posters of the president.

He was addressing his live stream on Powerchat when he was punched in the back of his head by someone who recognised him, at Jongno 5-ga Station. But it wasn't until the assailant called him a racial slur that the streamer started following him.

Somali followed him around, asking him to repeat what he said:

"What's up? Come back! Come back! What did you say?"

He continued:

"Why are you saying that? Can I touch your statue?... You can't physically assault me... You want to go to jail right now? You want to go to jail? You want me to call the police right now?"

But after that, he tried to brush off the attack:

"He hit me, like in the hat. He tried to slap my hat off, he did no damage."

Johnny Somali's disruptive behaviour

Johnny Somali's other egregious acts include disrupting the convenience store environment by playing loud music, spilling food and harassing employees, carrying foul-smelling fish in the streets, being a nuisance towards other people in public transportation and so on.

He also enraged the nation by disrespecting the 'Statue of Peace,' which is a monument created to commemorate the victims of wartime s**ual slavery known as comfort women, by behaving inappropriately with it. This is not a first off for the Youtuber, though, as his problematic behaviour has also been seen in Japan, Thailand, Israel and other nations.
