Zack Hoyt, recognised as Asmongold or ZackRawrr is an online Twitch streamer and former member of OTK (One True King), a media organisation. Hoyt has reportedly made controversial statements on his social media, which have drawn significant criticism. On April 25, Asmongold responded to a Reddit post reshared by X user @Reddit Lies, which sparked another wave of controversy.
The post revealed a teacher's experience of students, notably "high achievers" who had started noticing that their "hard work doesn't matter." In response to the post, Asmongold claimed,
"Society would instantly and dramatically improve if we took the bottom 5-10% most re**ded kids out of school and put them in the coal mines instead."
He added,
"Almost all western cultural problems are derived from adherence to the false god of equality."
Online streamer Asmongold makes controversial comments following a Reddit post
Asmongold recently responded to a Reddit post, revealing a teacher's experience of working with children. While the post doesn't mention the personal characteristics of the students, it makes claims about educators' limitations in marking students' assignments.
It added that students notice the discrepancy in marking and how students who turn in late or don't put in enough "effort" face no consequences. Zack appeared to extrapolate and make claims about the problems in "Western culture."
This is not the first time Zack has made controversial comments on his social media channels. From remarks on people's appearances to reported insensitive comments about the Gaza war, Zack's public account (ZackRawrr) on Twitch had previously been banned from X.
While the exact reason for leaving OTK wasn't revealed, it may be linked to his comments on the insensitive remarks about Palestinians. In October 2024, on X, Asmongold wrote to his followers following his Twitch ban. He noted that it was his "bad" to make such comments and noted,
"Looking back on it, I was way too much of an a**hole about the Palestine thing."
Many followers were left unimpressed by what appeared to be close to an apology.
While Zack has been made aware of the criticism his posts and commentary draw, he continues to share his ramblings on social media. This time around, he claimed that the "bottom 5-10% of kids" should not be part of academia and the school system. Users had mixed responses to the streamer on his X channel. In other YouTube streams, Zack has been seen making comments about politics, and controversial topics, including women's "pretty privilege" and "female dating strategy."
