Pam Bondi, the US Attorney General, revealed that the FBI has handed over a large number of Jeffrey Epstein files. This is because she gave them a strict deadline.
She said that the files were found in the Southern District of New York and that the Department of Justice now has them.
Speaking to Fox News, Pam Bondi said she gave the FBI a tight deadline of 8 AM last Friday. She even said a source told her where the files were being kept.
"I gave [the FBI] a deadline of Friday at 8 a.m. to get us everything. And a source had told me where the documents were being kept, Southern District of New York, shock. So we got them all by Friday at 8 a.m."
Pam Bondi said the documents were "thousands of pages" and said that the FBI is currently reviewing them. She also promised that Director Kash Patel will explain why these files were not shared earlier.
She also assured the public that her team will go through the information carefully to protect Epstein's victims.
"And, you know, we're going to go through it, go through it as fast as we can, but go through it very cautiously to protect all the victims of Epstein"
Pam Bondi also criticized Biden's administration and accused them of keeping the files hidden for so long.
"You know, sadly, these people don't believe in transparency. But I think more unfortunately, I think a lot of them don't believe in honesty."
Bondi has also stated that she wants a full report as to why these files were sitting in New York. She believes that the public has the right to know the entire truth.
Pam Bondi Says FBI Hid Jeffrey Epstein Files
Last week many people were expecting that there would be major revelations when some Epstein files were released. Instead, the documents mostly contained Epstein's contact list. This actually disappointed the public.
Anna Paulina Luna, a Congresswoman, was among those who criticized the release of the seemingly baseless documents. She said,
"I nor the task force were given or reviewed the Epstein documents being released today… A NY Post story just revealed that the documents will simply be Epstein's phonebook."
"THIS IS NOT WHAT WE OR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ASKED FOR and a complete disappointment. GET US THE INFORMATION WE ASKED FOR!"
Pam Bondi responded to this by saying that the FBI held back important documents. She has now launched a review to find out the exact reason why. She has made a promise that her team is working to make everything public.
"And it's a new day. It's a new administration, and everything's going to come out to the public. The public has the right to know Americans have a right to know."
Now, with these new files in hand, the Department of Justice is under pressure to release more information. The public is just waiting to see if the new documents reveal something that was hidden before or not.
