The Addams Family actress Christina Ricci received her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
Ricci got her star in the Motion Pictures category at the event, which was held in front of the W Hollywood Hotel at 6258 Hollywood Boulevard.
Speaking to the ceremony's audience, Ricci said she has always felt "at home" on movie sets.
She said in her acceptance speech addressing the crowd:
"I've been a working actress for over 36 years and a part of this community and as much as I've always felt at home on a set ... and love the feeling of stepping up to my mark, or really anyone's mark, as much as all of that is true, and as much as I always felt at home on a set, I don't think I would've ever believed as a young actress that I would receive an honor like this."
She expressed her gratitude to everyone who had supported her and believed in her throughout the years. She also made a joke, saying that she intends to "haunt my star when I die, so I'll always be here."

Introducing the actress at the start of the ceremony, Ana Martinez, Walk of Fame producer, said:
"The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is honored to welcome actress Christina Ricci to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. From her remarkable start as a young talent to her enduring impact on the silver screen, Christina Ricci's film career has been nothing short of extraordinary."
She was joined by her husband, Mark Hampton, and two children.
Actor, director, and writer Dan Bucatinsky, who costarred with Ricci in the 1998 romantic dark comedy The Opposite of Sex, and Patty Jenkins, who directed Ricci in Monster, were also among those who joined her at the event held in front of the W Hollywood Hotel at Hollywood Blvd.
In her speech, Ricci spoke of not having a great childhood and credited the film industry, saying it "really, really saved" her. She said:
"I hated fittings and I hated camera-test days because I knew those were the days when everyone would look at me and talk about what was wrong with me, with my appearance and what they needed to fix. 'We can’t ever shoot her from this side.' Those kinds of things growing up I did not enjoy."
"I didn’t have anything horrible happen to me really. The little kind of developmental things and problems I was taught that weren’t healthy for me, I have been able to sort of work through and get through."
She continued:
"The film industry, it sort of rescued me from a childhood that was not very nice and a family that was not very safe. So to be able to escape and do this thing where I was totally safe when I was getting validation from adults, and it was based on a skill that I had that was special, I think really, really saved me."
