Cassie Ventura is now all set to testify against her ex-partner, Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is currently facing criminal charges on the grounds of federal s*x tr*fficking and ra*keteering. Although she had earlier requested to remain anonymous and testify as "Victim 1," she has now decided to take the stand under her identity instead.

Diddy's trial is set to begin on May 5, and according to a report submitted on Friday, the prosecution informs the court that the person set to testify as "Victim 1" will no longer remain anonymous and will take the stand under their identity—that of Cassie Ventura—instead. The other three witnesses, however, have still chosen to stay anonymous so far.

Cassie Ventura and Sean "Diddy" Combs were in an on and off relationship for 11 years

Cassie Ventura and Sean "Diddy" Combs shared a relationship for over 11 years, albeit on and off. In November 2023, Ventura filed a civil lawsuit against Diddy. However, while this lawsuit was settled outside of court, it opened the path for many more such civil lawsuits to be slapped against Diddy, which all accused him of various forms of s*xual misconduct.

The rap mogul was arrested on September 16, 2024. While he has pleaded not guilty, he has been denied bail multiple times and is currently housed at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

Diddy made headlines back in May 2024, when leaked footage showed him chasing down Ventura in a hotel, following which he was seen physically abusing her before he grabbed her belongings. However, his legal team claimed that the video had been doctored.

While Cassie Ventura has agreed to take the stand under her name in the trial, the prosecutors also informed the court that the others have chosen to remain anonymous unless required to reveal their identity.

"This case has already received an exceptional amount of media coverage, which will presumably only increase as trial proceeds. Permitting these measures will prevent unnecessary public disclosure of the victims’ identities, and the harassment from the media and others, undue embarrassment, and other adverse consequences that would almost certainly follow if these women were forced to reveal their true names publicly at trial."

Sean "Diddy" Combs' trial is set to begin on May 5, 2025.
