On April 19, 2025, Kanye West reshared an old video of online streamer Adin Ross where he praised Hitler. He added the eyes emoji in the caption while writing:
“Adin said Hitler was a great leader.”
While some social media users were apprehensive about the statements, others had a few jokes to share in the post. However, most of the comments seem to be directed towards Adin Ross. For instance, one X user wrote:
“Dam Adin about to hit the blacklist.”
A netizen, commenting on Kanye West’s post, clarified that the streamer did not endorse whatever he said.
“On behalf of Adin Ross’ PR team, this clip is out of context. Adin Ross does not endorse or support the actions taken by ‘Mustache Man.’ His comment about him being a good leader was solely in reference to the number of people he compelled to follow him,” a social media user clarified.
“A prime example of a situation where context is important,” a netizen wrote.
“Kanye West, shut the f*ck up please,” another X user reacted.
As many social media users had interesting questions, others backlashed the streamer.
“Who would you choose, your wife, or Hitler to be president?” an online commentator asked.
“Adin Ross is just an id**t, you can’t listen to anything he says. Bro just says anything that comes to his head that day,” a person shared on X.
“Now Ye wants to interview with him,” a media user speculated.
“Like are you guys ok tho,” a netizen remarked.
Besides Adin Ross, Kanye West has also spoken about Hitler in the past
The original video where Adin Ross praises Hitler seems to be from 2024, and Sneako was a guest in the stream. Ross said he was honest with his audience and mentioned being Jewish.
He acknowledged that while what Hitler did was terrible and involved killing innocent people, he still believed Hitler was a strong leader. He told viewers to take his opinion lightly.
Taking to his X in February 2025, Kanye West shared a series of posts where he openly called himself a Nazi and expressed admiration for Hitler. In another now-deleted post, he accused Elon Musk of copying his controversial behavior.
Despite these posts, in December 2023, he tried to make amends by apologizing to the Jewish community, saying he didn’t mean to hurt anyone and regretted his actions.
Last month, Adin Ross listened to a track that was believed to be by Kanye West and included questionable lyrics. According to Complex, after hearing a controversial line comparing himself to Hitler, Ross was shocked and was confused about whether it was real or AI-generated.
The track also appeared to reference voting for Trump and Jeffrey Epstein and included disturbing comments about Nazis and swastikas.
Ross said he believed Kanye West needed serious help. He shared that he had been a longtime fan of his music but felt that he wasn't mentally well. The streamer said someone should step in and get him professional help because he didn’t think West was in a good state of mind.
