NBA YoungBoy is rumored to be released from house arrest on April 26, following months of probation.

The rapper was arrested in 2023 after being accused of 63 charges, including fraud and drug-related crimes. In November 2024, Kentrell DeSean Gaulden was convicted on ten charges and sentenced to 23 months in prison. At the time, he was under house arrest. Additionally, the court ordered five years of probation.

Previously, it was rumored that the rapper would be released in July. However, according to newly released information, he will be released earlier than expected, on April 26, 2025.


Previous legal issues surrounding NBA YoungBoy before he got arrested in 2023 for 63 charges

YoungBoy Never Broke Again has been involved in multiple legal issues, including,

2014: Taken into custody for robbery and sent to juvenile detention for 6 months.

2016: Held for attempted murder after a shooting. He was declared guilty of assault and received a suspended 10-year sentence with probation.

2018: Arrested in Tallahassee for assault, kidnapping, and weapons charges. He was released on paying $75,000 for bail.

2019: Arrested along with rapper Quando Rondo for assault, emotional distress, and battery after an incident backstage at a concert in Florence, South Carolina. Later that year, while on probation, he was involved in a Miami shooting, leading to a ninety-day jail sentence, a fourteen-month performance ban, and house arrest.

2020: Arrested in Baton Rouge with 15 others on drug and firearm charges, though his lawyer denied his involvement.

In 2021 and 2022, NBA YoungBoy was charged with federal firearm and drug offenses in California and Baton Rouge, including possession of illegal weapons. In 2023 and 2024, he faced another federal firearm charge in Baton Rouge.

Currently, NBA YoungBoy's case is being handled by attorney Drew Findling, a criminal defense lawyer. Findling has previously represented famous artists like Lil Durk, Cardi B, Gucci Mane, and Quavo.


DJ Akademiks talks about NBA YoungBoy's release

DJ Akademiks, an American podcaster and internet personality, recently attended Adin Ross' Brand Risk 005 event. At the event, he was asked about upcoming music releases in the industry, to which he responded:

"Right now it's all about Carti (Playboi Carti). I'll tell you this. Drake's coming soon, Durk's coming soon, and YB’s getting out of jail."

As of March 2025, NBA YoungBoy is still under arrest and remains in custody.
