Andrew Tate has released a new statement on his X (formerly Twitter) account, bashing Florida's governor, Ron DeSantis. This comes amid the ongoing criminal investigation into him and his brother, Tristan Tate, launched by Florida authorities.
In the tweet, Andrew Tate writes,
"1) they arrest me and charge me and I clear my name in a USA court of law once and for all. 2) they can’t even find enough to arrest me just ran their mouth like circus clowns. It’s win win for me because I’m innocent. I dare you to arrest me @GovRonDeSantis I’m here in your state. My bags packed for jail and I am waiting patiently."
The tweet was a reply to his previous X post, posted on March 13, that said,
"I am in Miami @GovRonDeSantis Find probable cause and arrest me. Tell that weak little twig AG to stop pretending he’s a man on the news and come arrest me. Then charge me with a crime. This is America. The America my father served for. This isn’t Romania where you can arrest people for zero. I dare you to arrest me and charge me so I can clear my name in a court of law. Come get me I’m home and waiting all day."
Why are Florida authorities after Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate?
Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate returned to the U.S. on February 27 after Romania allowed them to leave. The two were charged in late 2022 and 2024 and were stuck in Romania for almost three years for trafficking and money laundering.
However, after landing in Florida, Andrew Tate denied the allegations. In response to their arrival, Governor Ron DeSantis stated that he had not received any information about their arrival. He also added that they were not welcome.
Romanian authorities confirmed that the case against the brothers is still open and expect them to return. In response, Tate's lawyer stated they feel safer in the U.S. now that Donald Trump has taken office. However, Trump denied any involvement with the brothers.
Currently, U.S. officials have started a criminal investigation into the Tate brothers, which is being resumed in Florida.
Later, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier also gave a statement on X, saying,
"Last week, I directed my office to work with our law enforcement partners to conduct a preliminary inquiry into Andrew and Tristan Tate. Based on a thorough review of the evidence, I’ve directed the Office of Statewide Prosecution to execute search warrants and issue subpoenas in the now-active criminal investigation into the Tate brothers."
Andrew Tate's recent tweet on X challenges Florida authorities to arrest him if they possess evidence. He also claimed his innocence and asserted that either outcome would demonstrate it.
The investigation involving Andrew and Tristan Tate continues in Romania and Florida, with Florida police yet to disclose further details.
