Kim Soo-hyun's agency Gold Medalist confirms that South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun and the late actress Kim Sae-ron were in a relationship from the summer of 2019 to the autumn of 2020.

On March 14, 2025, Gold Medalist released an official statement, confirming Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron had dated. However, it stated that their relationship began after she became an adult.
The agency denied allegations that Kim Soo-hyun had been romantically involved with her during her teenage years. It stated that all the leaked images were taken between 2019 and 2020.

The clothes Kim Sae Ron was wearing at the time were released in June 2019 by the brand, so Garo Sero Institute's claim that the photo was taken in 2016 when Kim Sae Ron was a minor is impossible."
