Kim Soo-hyun faces renewed scrutiny as late Kim Sae-ron's family raises underage relationship allegations

Kim Soo-hyun and the late actress Kim Sae-ron's controversy is once again making headlines, and this time, the allegations are coming from the late actress's family.

As the allegations involve the actress's family, they are far more serious and could cause reputational damage to Kim Soo-hyun. However, Kim Soo-hyun’s side has addressed these allegations as "baseless and not even worth addressing."

The allegations surfaced after the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute, also known as Hoverlab, released a video featuring Kim Sae-ron’s aunt making some serious claims.

Kim Sae-ron’s family accuses Kim Soo-hyun of underage relationship

After the video was released by the Garo Sero Institute, the news of the allegations created a buzz on social media. In the video released on Monday, March 10, Kim Sae-ron’s aunt claimed that Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron were in a relationship for six years.

She stated that their relationship began in 2015 when Kim Soo-hyun was 27 years old, while Kim Sae-ron was only 15. This allegation has come as a major shock, as Kim Sae-ron was a minor at the time.

In addition to the underage relationship allegation, a few other accusations were made involving the Gold Medalist agency. Kim Sae-ron's aunt accused the agency of financial misconduct, alleging that they misused Kim Sae-ron’s funds, which affected her earnings.

Another allegation involved manipulation during Kim Sae-ron's agency transition. She also accused the agency of failing to support Kim during her DUI scandal in 2022, claiming that they did not provide her with legal, financial, or public relations assistance.

However, it should be noted that the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute has a history of posting controversial claims about celebrities. As of yet, no concrete evidence has been provided to support these recent allegations.

How did Gold Medalist respond to the allegations?

The agency has denied all allegations, calling them unacceptable and false. They specifically rejected claims regarding Kim Soo-hyun’s alleged relationship with Kim Sae-ron, the DUI scandal, and any connection between their manager and a YouTuber.

They also stated that they would take strong legal action against those spreading such baseless rumors, as these rumors affect both Kim Soo-hyun’s reputation and the memory of Kim Sae-ron.

The agency further explained how the current situation is similar to the cyberbullying Kim Soo-hyun faced just before Kim Sae-ron’s passing. They also condemned those exploiting Kim Sae-ron's name for their gain.

Despite the agency's statement, the controversy continues, with old photos of Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron resurfacing online, fueling further speculation.
