On March 2, 2025, popular streamers Valkyrae, Cinna, and Emiru were streaming live from an amusement park when they encountered a disturbing situation. A man persistently harassed them during the broadcast, even charging toward them at one point, according to a report in BBC. The man allegedly threatened the streamers with violence after his advances were rejected and said,

"I'll kill you right now"

Feeling unsafe, they decided to leave the area and later reported the incident to the police. The next day, Valkyrae and Cinna went live again to talk about the experience, becoming visibly emotional as they described how unsettling it was.

However, instead of sympathy, they were met with mockery from fellow streamer Nico "Sneako." During his reaction to their stream, he dismissed their emotions and said,

"Keep crying b**ch!"

He also implied that their reaction was exaggerated and aimed at gaining financial support through gifted subscriptions. He said,

"She's rocking back and forth and she's like we're cooking right now. This is going viral, sh*t! We're going tier three, we're getting gifted subs."

Sneako responds to their emotional stream with scorn and accusations

Stream Nico "Sneako" responded on March 7, 2025, to the emotional debate between Valkyrae and Cinna. While on his stream, he ridiculed them for crying during their stream and asked them what they were hoping to achieve from sharing their experience.

Sneako suggested that their emotional response was perhaps over-the-top in a bid to seek sympathy from their viewers. He also hypothesized that they might have been utilizing the situation to incentivize viewers to send talented subscriptions, a popular means for streamers to get money.

Sneako's response went viral very quickly, with footage of his statements shared on social media. A lot of people considered his statements as belittling the threats that streamers, especially women, may encounter in public areas.

Some said his statements trivialized the gravity of the threats Valkyrae and Cinna reported during their stream.

The issue calls into question the safety of streamers in public places

The case of Valkyrae, Cinna, and Emiru emphasizes the demand for greater security precautions while live streaming outdoors. Talks regarding security for content creators have become prevalent over the past few years. Certain streamers have been taking measures like employing security guards or not sharing live locations.

The controversy of Sneako's response has also led to a larger discussion of how online personalities react to sensitive topics and how their words affect their viewers.
