Kanye West doesn't shy away from publicly calling out his contemporaries, including Playboi Carti. West had previously criticized other artists on X after Playboi released his album, I AM MUSIC, featuring Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, and others.

Just a few days later, Playboi Carti and Kanye appeared to slam each other on X after the former approached Kim Kardashian and North West to feature on a song. This came after Kim Kardashian offered support to Carti and also shared a screenshot of his song, Fine Sh*t with the lyrics that refer to her brand, SKIMS. After Kanye's ramblings on X, Playboi Carti wrote back a now-viral tweet and noted,

"YE STFU"

Ye did not stop there and expressed disappointment that his "baby mama" was approached by Playboi Carti. He posted a tweet,

"SHOULD CARTI HAVE EVEN SPOKEN TO MY BABY MAMA AT ALL."

Kanye didn't stop with one tweet and went on to bash Playboi Carti. Fans appeared to be divided in their support towards Ye and Playboi. One user (@unseenopium) wrote,

"THATS WHY CARTI DOING WHAT YOU CANT . U WILL NEVER AMOUNT TO HIM."

A Carti fan (@cartisburner) claimed that the singer helped Kanye with a hit and noted,

"Carti literally gave you a hit with carnival!"

Many fans appeared to remind Kanye that Carti had previously supported him and one (@WHOLELOTTAMOB) wrote,

"he literally pushed back his album for you. he literally gave your first number 1 in YEARS. jus bc you jealous doesn’t mean you can hate!"
