US streamer Johnny Somali, whose real name is Ramsey Khalid Ismael, is a controversial online personality who is reportedly in legal trouble over his statements and actions during a livestream in South Korea in 2024. According to Dexerto, the streamer is facing charges of child s*xual harassment following a stream at Lotte World.

The alleged charge adds to the growing pile of charges against the streamer, who is also accused of violating anti-terrorism laws, drug use, threatening to sexually abuse female streamers, violating the Railroad Act and spreading North Korean propaganda.

On April 7, Legal Mindset, a legal expert and YouTuber, revealed that Johnny Somali would face charges for playing “vile sexual messages” in the presence of minors. Legal Mindset added that the police were heavily investigating the matter.

On April 7, 2025, Legal Mindset revealed that Johnny Somali was facing additional charges of child se**** harassment for the latter’s actions during a September 30, 2024 stream at Lotte World in South Korea.

While waiting in line for Go-karts, Somali reportedly said:

"For kids? What is this? Oh yeah, let's do it... it's a bunch of little kids, bro."

He was later kicked out of the venue and, according to Legal Mindset, has been “charged and likely indicted” by South Korea’s Western District authorities. Legal Mindset further explained that the streamer’s actions violated South Korea’s Child Welfare Act.

The controversial streamer, who has reportedly been banned on Twitch and Kick but posts on Rumble and TikTok, arrived in Korea on September 9, 2024, and has had multiple run-ins with the law. He first caught the attention of Korean authorities when he posted a video of himself kissing the Statue of Peace in Itaewon on October 9.

Some days later, the YouTuber mentioned the statue again and suggested that he would perform a s*xual act with it. He later appeared at a convenience store and harassed an employee there whilst playing loud music.

On October 28, his YouTube account was suspended after allegedly posting pornographic material there. He later claimed that the account was hacked. On October 30, Somali was banned from leaving South Korea.

He later streamed a video of himself kissing a Korean streamer, Bong Bong_irl. The Korean streamer reported it to the police as a deepfake. Bong Bong later decided against pressing charges.

On November 6, 2024, the streamer was handed over to the Korean police for obstruction of business in the convenience store. On November 11, he was indicted without detention for obstructing the business.

Some days later, Johnny Somali posted a video claiming to be in the demilitarized zone and stating that he was moving to the “True Korea” with North Korean music playing in the background. He was then handed over to the police for prosecution.

The streamer, who has an active case against him in South Korea, seemed to compound issues on March 20, 2025, when he followed a Japanese streamer named Nana in the Hongdae district of Seoul, reportedly using vulgar terms during his interaction with her. Nana, who seemed uncomfortable during the encounter, reported the streamer to the police.
