Stand-up comedian John Mulaney is officially back on the road in 2025 with a brand-new tour called John Mulaney: Mister Whatever.
The tour is scheduled to start in June 2025 and stretch through December 2025. The 31-date North American tour will bring John Mulaney's wit, storytelling, and signature comedic timing to a wide variety of venues. It ranges from amphitheaters and casinos to wineries and concert halls.
The 42-year-old comedian rose to fame as a writer on Saturday Night Live from 2008 to 2013. He helped create beloved characters like Bill Hader's Stefon.
After SNL, Mulaney's stand-up career was highlighted by multiple critically acclaimed Netflix specials, including New in Town (2012), The Comeback Kid (2015), Kid Gorgeous (2018), and Baby J (2023). He has also been involved in Broadway (Oh, Hello), film voice acting (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), and more recently, his live variety Netflix series, Everybody's Live with John Mulaney. The show is set to conclude in May 2025.
Mulaney took to his official Instagram page to announce the John Mulaney: Mister Whatever tour. He posted a video, captioning:
"Hey guess what? I’m going on tour. John Mulaney: Mister Whatever. Pre-sale starts tomorrow, Wednesday April 23rd at 10AM local time with the code MISTER and general on sale this Friday. Tickets & all info at johnmulaney.com *W/ Jon Stewart & Pete Davidson **W/ Martin Short ***W/ Fred Armisen, Mike Birbiglia & Nick Kroll"
The SNL alum's tour announcement was not just a press release. He made a grainy and mock ransom video to post to social media. In the clip, John sits blindfolded and zip-tied in the back of a car between two anonymous figures. In the video, he was heard saying:
"Hey, it's me, John Mulaney, and I've got great news. I am going on tour. My new tour Mister Whatever is coming to a city near you,"
