In an interview with Khloe Kardashian, influencer Remi Bader has revealed that she underwent a weight loss surgery known as SADI-S (Single Anastomosis Duodenal Switch) and how she processed the after-effects of the procedure.

On the podcast Khloé in Wonder Land, Bader discussed the removal of 80% of her stomach through the surgery. The reality star shared the interview on her X account on March 26, 2025. In the interview, the 30-year-old spoke about how she thought that her recovery would be easy, but it was the

“worst time of her life.”

A report in People magazine stated that she endured pain post surgery for six weeks after spending hours in the recovery room. Bader underwent the procedure in December 2023.

"I was so sick ... I [was] like, ‘Something’s wrong. I should’ve never done this. I literally ruined my body, like ruined everything,'" she told the host. "I had a lot of regret."

In an interview with Self magazine, she recalled getting into, “deep depression” during her recovery period. She told the outlet:

“I’d gotten into a very, very deep depression, and it was truly the scariest time of my life. I couldn’t tell people. I really — I wanted to die.”

Let us uncover the details about her recovery, which she shared with the magazine.

Remi Bader shares painful moments from her recovery period to Self magazine

Before Remi Bader spoke to Khloe Kardashian about her weight loss surgery, she also shared the details with Self magazine.

The social media influencer, while speaking to Self, reflected on how she was almost inactive between December 2023 and mid-February 2024, as reported by People magazine.

She said that despite being discharged from the hospital in three days, she couldn’t eat or drink anything for weeks, and continued to throw up, according to a report in Today.

“I need to say that it was the most brutal thing," she said. “I was in recovery hours, hours, hours, hours, throwing up. It was not normal," she continued. "I was supposed to leave (the hospital) in one day. I could not stop projectile vomiting, and I couldn’t drink water. They won’t let you leave if you can’t drink water. I actually can’t explain how horrible it was.”

She was eventually prescribed depression and anxiety medicine, reported Today. Bader had previously struggled with weight gain, which resulted in several problems for her including chronic pain, back problems and other health issues. She admitted trying other weight loss medications but nothing helped.
