MrBeast has built a surgical center in Ghana to provide for former child slaves in the country, and fans have commended him for his good works. The YouTube creator known for his outlandish games and philanthropic activities unveiled his project in Ghana on X on April 7, 2025;

“New beast philanthropy video, we got kids out of literal slavery in West Africa and tried to shine a light on some serious stuff. All revenue from this channel goes towards the nonprofit.”

MrBeast shared a video of his visit to Ghana, where he posed with some of the kids he had rescued who had supposedly been kidnapped and forced to work as fishermen in Ghana. He also shared images of the newly built treatment facility to tackle health complications as a result of their slave work.

@Dexerto on X shared the news of the facility built by the Internet personality, and @JKLM0521 tweeted in response:

“It’s a powerful way to make a positive impact and give these children a chance at a better life.”

More X users showed support for MrBeast’s charity work in Ghana:

“Now this is what I call a real initiative, not like those DEl nonsense. MrBeast actually doing something worthwhile for once. Maybe the woke crowd should take notes,”@0xkeeny stated.
“Such an amazing man the world sees you, Mr. Beast! Thank you for using your fame and money to actually give back to the world instead of rolling in 20 Italian supercars they don't need. Thank you for showing how it's done,” @safiverse praised.
“Every child deserves more than freedom; they deserve a future. This facility is a holy act of repair in a world that often forgets to care,” @youngblesstmoni added.

Some netizens also tweeted in response to those who criticized MrBeast’s charitable endeavors:

“All the people mad at Mr Beast helping people are doing literally nothing for anybody, btw,” @gosuprime022 replied.
“People are still going to find a way to hate him for this,” @CajunCASHH expressed.
“People hating on him just because he's doing content on this, SO WHAT IF HE DOES, he gotta earn money to keep doing things like this, so if he profits out of this, while other people get to have their lives bettered, then is a win-win situation,” @krolliox stated.

MrBeast fires back at Netizen who criticized his charity work in Ghana

After MrBeast revealed his latest charity project in Ghana, the Internet became divided. Some praised the YouTube star for supporting the healthcare of kids in West Africa, while others wondered why he didn’t focus on helping out in America.

"How about you help Americans if you’re gonna virtue signal for profit?” a comment underneath MrBeast’s X post reads.

The YouTube star replied and reminded the X user that he sponsored free meals for millions of Americans yearly.

“We do routine food drives in America and give millions of meals away for free to Americans each year,” he replied. “If I listed out all the projects we’ve done in America this tweet would be a book. Yet every time I help people in Africa, my top reply is ‘I don’t help my own country’ lol.”

In March 2025, MrBeast launched an initiative to tackle child slavery in West Africa. The Internet personality revealed that he would be giving free breakfasts at schools in West Africa to encourage children to leave the farms and go to school. He reported on March 20, 2025, that attendance had risen by 10% in the first week of the program.
