IShowSpeed is currently on an international tour to China. His journey began on March 24, 2025, and he has live-streamed the tour that started in Shangai.

During his trip, he interacted with the locals, did a backflip on the Great Wall of China, tried street food, visited a hair salon, vibed with a street performer, and gave his viewers an unfiltered experience of Chinese culture.

While his content has been loved and appreciated, a user on X claimed that IShowSpeed was paid by the Chinese government to promote the country. Speed's cameraman responded to the tweet by saying:

''He is in China at his own expense, and will likely take a net loss."

IShowSpeed's team denied allegations of the CCP funding his trip

IShowSpeed, who's been touring China and sharing his experiences by live-streaming them for his viewers, recently faced an allegation by a netizen on X. The netizen claimed that the Communist Party of China (CCP) was funding his trip to that country. Here is what user @amuse said:

CHINA: The CCP is offering ‘influencers’ first class air, 5-star accommodations, meals, $25K gift bags, and $500 per diem to come rave about the country.

This was posted on X on March 26, 2025. IShowSpeed's team responded to this post on March 28, 2025. His cameraman (@shotbyslipz) said this in response to the allegation:

''Fact: amount of money IShowspeed has received from Chinese Government = $0. Posting so it can be used as an actual source 🤷‍♂️ Hi I am internal with the IShowspeed team. He is in China at his own expense, and will likely take a net loss."

IShowSpeed began his trip from the bustling city of Shanghai, which he live-streamed for six hours. He was accompanied by a tour guide, discovered the vibrant streets, and took a ride in the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra.

Speed also played table tennis with Jackson Wang while he was in Shanghai. He also went on to try food like squids, cow intestine, and Chinese egg tart. In addition, he also tried Tanghulu, a traditional Chinese snack. He met a fan who was doing a headstand in the middle of the street.

He live-streamed his activities and experiences, which garnered around 10 million views. Known for his energetic and dramatic behavior, IShowSpeed was acknowledged and appreciated by the Chinese embassy in the U,S.

On March 26, 2025, the embassy took to their X handle to appreciate him. The post said:

The 20-year-old popular American YouTuber #IShowSpeed @ishowspeedsuii has kicked off a journey in #China that has already garnered massive global attention, which indicates a broader trend of digital influencers bridging cultural gaps and creating alternative channels for foreign audiences to understand a vibrant China.

IShowSpeed's trip to China and his live streams are receiving an amazing response from his global audience, and in the coming weeks he plans to visit Mongolia and Hong Kong.
