Streamer and Internet personality, Darren Watkins Jr., popularly known as IShowSpeed, kicked off his Asia Tour from Shanghai, China, on March 24, 2025. With over 37 million subscribers on YouTube, Speed uploaded three live streams on his YouTube channel, garnering millions of views.

X user, Feared Buck shared a clip of Speed climbing the famous 'Heavenly Ladder' in Xinmi, Zhengzhou, Henan Province. The YouTuber can be seen gradually climbing and reaching the top to click selfies.

Netizens took to Feared Buck's X comment section and added humorous responses. Speed is famously recognized for backflipping at iconic locations and performing other stunts, including jumping over cars. Continuing his tradition, Speed backflipped on the Great Wall Of China and claimed he was the "first person" to do it.

One user (@douinreels) expressed curiosity and wondered if he would backflip at the Heavenly Ladder and noted,

"Imagine he just back flipped off it."

Another user (@suayrez) shared an image of Speed on top of the stairs and wrote,

"Bro is living life."

One user (@RandomtheGuy) shared a throwback video of doing a backflip on "The Hand Of God" in "Guatemala" and noted that he "risked his life."

Another user (@Cuffemnews) wrote,

"Speed is living life with no regrets!! He is trying EVERYTHING."

Other fans expressed concern and noted that he was not being "protected" by anyone. One user (@soursillypickle) wrote,

"Am I tripping or is there nothing protecting him?"

One fan was amazed by the things Speed has been able to do as a 20-year-old. They (@OnlyRealLeft) wrote,

"Bro has lived more in 20 years than most do in a lifetime."

From climbing the 'Heavenly Ladder' to becoming a Monk: IShowSpeed live streams from China

IShowSpeed live-streamed through the streets of China to backflipping on the Great Wall Of China. The online streamer received praise from the Chinese Embassy in the US and a Chinese news outlet, Global Times. They noted that Speed's tour has sparked "international interest" and is displaying a side of China that is "rarely highlighted" in "mainstream narratives."

In his first stream, IShowSpeed is also seen with artist Jackson Wang, playing table tennis together. In other parts of the video, he visits the bustling city and enjoys the local cuisine. In the second stream, he is seen in traditional Chinese attire and visits the Great Wall Of China.

IShowSpeed particularly has caught everyone's attention with the video titled "Becoming A Shaolin Monk In China." He gives his followers a glimpse of martial arts and also practices it with Master Liang and his disciples.


IShowSpeed kicked off his Asia Tour from Shanghai and gave his fans a live peek during his time. Many fans expressed awe for Speed's live streams across China and acknowledged that he had done many things as a 20-year-old. From trying the monk life to visiting famous tourist spots, Speed scaled through China for his viewers.
