Toronto-based local rapper, Top 5, debuted on the rap scene with his single Shirt Off Shawty in 2015. He has reportedly released other singles, including, Hall Of Fame, Heard Of Me, and other tracks which solidified his presence in the Toronto rap scene.
Born Hassan Ali, he adopted the moniker Top 5 while growing up in Toronto's "Jungle", more commonly known as the Lawrence Heights neighborhood. The rapper took to his Instagram Story on March 17, 2025, to announce that he has joined Twitch. He noted that his account has been "verified" without him streaming. He asked his fans to follow his account on the streaming channel. Akademiks TV shared the story on their X channel.

Another user (@C4chh3d) claimed that he might get "canceled" and wrote,
Nope; he’ll be the fastest streamer to get cancelled: I like Top 5, but let’s keep it [100 emoji] ; If he doesnt go down organically (luv new buzz words) then someone like Wack100 will instigate and get him cancelled."
Top 5 reportedly expressed gratitude towards Drake for paying his lawyer in his 2021 case. While it is unclear, if they have been in touch, one user (@way_eazy) noted,
