MrBeast has always been famous for his philanthropic videos. He gives money, food, clothes, and other things to people who need help. There has always been a debate among netizens about whether the content is real or staged.
On April 6, 2025, he posted a new video. In the video, he and his team helped free children from slavery in West Africa. Some netizens criticized him for this, and he has finally replied to it.
Many people liked the video. They said MrBeast was doing something good. But some people were angry. They said he should help Americans first.
MrBeast replies to people who are angry
A few netizens on X were very upset. They said MrBeast only helps people in Africa and not in America. They also said the charity does not really fix problems.
MrBeast saw the post and replied. He said he does help people in America. He said:
"We do routine food drives in America and give millions of meals away for free to Americans each year. If I listed out all the projects we’ve done in America this tweet would be a book. Yet every time I help people in Africa my top reply is I don’t help my own country lol”
Some fans supported him. They said helping anyone is good, no matter where they live. Others said it is okay to help people in different countries, too. Some people still say Americans should be helped first.

MrBeast explains how his charity works
This is not the first time MrBeast has gotten this kind of comment. In 2023, he gave 20,000 shoes to poor children and created 100 wells that claim to provide clean drinking water to around 500,000 people in Africa. Some people liked it. But others said he just wanted views.
In March 2025, Beast explained how his charity videos work. He said the money from these videos goes back into helping more people. He wrote on X,
“Just a reminder for those of you that don’t normally watch this channel, Beast Philanthropy is a charity we run and all the revenue from these videos goes towards running our food pantries and helping people around the world. Our charity owns this channel, I thought it’d be fun to use my fame to create a loop of helping. Film good deed, inspire millions of kids to do good, use revenue from good deed to do next good deed”
Beast said he does not post every project online. Some of his US work is not shown in videos. But it still happens. Just because it is not on YouTube doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Some people still don’t like how he does it. Some people think he should only help in the US, but others believe helping anyone is what really matters.
