Ray a.k.a. @rayasianboy_ on Instagram, recently went live to make clarifications regarding his return home to Taiwan. Back in 2024, Ray left the US to go back to his home country to serve in the Taiwanese military, which was considered mandatory for all Taiwanese men. Fast forward to 2025, Ray just posted his comeback video on his official Instagram. The caption reads,

"The Wait Is Over" - @rayasianboy_ wrote.

The clip showed Ray in a gym back in Taiwan boxing while getting flashbacks from his time at war (reimagined). There were gunshots, smoke, and dust everywhere, and soldiers were getting shot. Ray was so lost in the memory that he punched the punching bag off its hook. This is where American Twitch streamer Kai Cenat comes in to let Ray know that he is getting his American visa.

The video was posted three days before Ray came clean on a live video. On March 30, 2025, Ray stated while streaming,

"I'm gonna be honest chat. My a** didn't go to the military chat. No cap. I didn't even go to the military. I didn't even f***ing go to gym. I didn't shoot a gun. I didn't do sh*t." - Ray explains.

What did Ray (@rayasianboy_) do if he was not serving the Taiwanese military?

In the live clip of Ray posted by @SlatDontMiss on X. Ray explains what he has been up to instead of serving in the military. He said,

"I was playing 2K all day. If you seen me on 2K Park, that's me. That's Ray Kwan Lee... If you seen me in 2K Park, that's me. If you play me in 2K, that's me." - Ray clarifies.

2K or NBA 2K24 is a basketball video game that Ray was referring to on his recent live video.

He continues to be honest with his followers. He said,

"I didn't go do this sh*t. All this sh*t, fake. I didn't go do this sh*t. I'm sorry, yeah, I'm sorry chat..." - he apologizes for spinning the story of getting conscripted for military.

He elaborates,

"[inaudible] four months is like a mental break, whole restart, you got your visa, you're gucci over here... They say lying a**. I'm sorry chat." - the clip ends and Ray is seen getting ready to leave his chair.

How did fans react to Ray's (@rayasianboy_) honesty?

After @SlatDontMiss posted the clip of the live stream on his account, fans flocked to the comment section to express their thoughts.

A user commented,

"Why do so many streamers leave because of mental?" - @OW_Mercy_Only enquired.

Another netizen noticed how Ray has mimicked some of Kai Cenat's mannerisms. They wrote,

"I don't understand why he's starting to mimic and act like Kai" - @AnyaLacey01 said.

One user tried to add up what Ray has been saying. Their comment reads,

"Mental health break = playing 2k all day and lying to fans?" - @NewsBarron commented.

Another user said,

"Not surprising,the internet fake.🤷🏾‍♂️"- @StrizzyGaming wrote.

Fans reacted with mixed emotions regarding the fabricated lie that Ray went to Taiwan to get himself enlisted. Netizens are questioning Ray's honesty and comparing his behavior to Twitch streamer Kai Cenat.
