Sauce Walka, the rapper best known for his 2015 diss track Wack 2 Wack, has been making headlines. On the afternoon of March 22, 2025, Sauce and his record label artist Sayso P were shot in Memphis, outside a hotel near FedExForum.
The shooting incident resulted in the death of Sayso P, and Sauce Walka got hit on his leg, after which he was hospitalized.
In a recent turn of events, Rainwater, the manager of the late rapper Mo3, has made some shocking revelations. He said that the shooter stood over Sauce to confirm the hit and then realized they had hit the wrong person. He said:

Rainwater and Cash Jones, also known as Wack100, the commentator and music manager were recently in a conversation in the clubhouse. During the conversation Rainwater revealed some shocking details of Walka's shooting incident.
He revealed that the shooters first thought they hit the right target. Then he said that he heard that the shooters stood over Walka's body to confirm the hit. And then they realized that they had hit the wrong person.
He then went on to explain that the shooters could probably be looking for Walka's artist, Sayso P, as he was from Memphis, and chances were that the hit was targeted at him. However, there is no confirmation of this.
The shooting took place when Sauce and Sayso were shopping downtown when a car showed up. The car had multiple people, and they started firing shots at the two and then fled the scene. Walka's family shared that he was shot in the thigh, was hospitalized, and would recover completely.
Sayso P, the artist of Sauce Walka's independent record label, The Sauce Factory (TSF), succumbed to his injuries. Addressing the shooting incident, the Memphis police said:
''At approx. 2:42 p.m. today, officers responded to a shooting at 100 block of George W. Lee Ave. One male was pronounced deceased, and another male was transported to the hospital in non-critical condition.''
He continued:
"This appears to be an isolated incident, not random violence. Officers have identified the suspect vehicle, and are actively working to make an arrest.''
Sayso P was a rising rapper from Memphis and was famous for his track Free One Punch. His death has been a great loss for the Memphis hip-hop community. As of yet, no arrest has been made, and the police are still on the lookout for the shooters.
