Kanye West is known for his controversies on social media, including Twitter (now X). He has been making headlines for his recent spat with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

Ye has reportedly questioned Kim Kardashian's decision to file trademarks under their daughter North West's name. He posted a screenshot of a conversation between him and North’s mother on March 15, 2025, according to All Hip Hop.

North West is the eldest child of Ye and Kardashian. She was reportedly born on June 15, 2013. As of March 2025, she is currently 11 years old and will turn 12 this year, as reported by People magazine.

In the chat, West questioned his ex-wife about the ownership, stating, "I'm never speaking with you again," alongside a photo of the filing.

To which Kardashian responded that they had agreed she would secure their children’s names and trademarks to prevent others from exploiting them. She added that the rights would transfer to North when she turns 18.

However, West threatened to go to war over the matter, “Amend it or I’m going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout. You’re going to have to kill me.” The rapper said, as per All Hip Hop. She sent him a legal document, Kardashian clearly stated that she doesn’t want her daughter to appear in Diddy’s song. What did the legal document sent by Kim Kardashian to Kanye West say?

After engaging in a heated conversation with his former wife, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West shared the legal document she sent on his X account.

The document which appeared to be a court filing, read:

“Kim is the sole and exclusive owner of all trademarks relating to North West’s name, including North West Mark.”
“Ye’s use of North’s name, likeness, and trademark in connection with this recording is not only a violation of the parties’ 2022 Stipulated Judgement as the parties share joint legal custody,"

Kanye West releases the song featuring daughter North West and Sean “Diddy” Combs

Despite Kim Kardashian’s requests, Kanye West released the song, Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine, which featured his daughter, North West, Sean “Diddy” Combs and his son King Combs on March 15.

According to the People magazine, the song begins with a conversation which seemingly appeared to be between Combs and West.

"I wanna just thank you so much for just taking care of my kids, man," the person on the call said.

And West replies,

"Absolutely, I love you so much man. You raised me. Even when I ain't know you, know what I'm saying?"

West has previously shown his support for Combs, who is currently in jail on charges of s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution, to which Diddy has reportedly pleaded not guilty. The rapper is awaiting a trial scheduled for May 5, 2025.
