British comedy series, Auf Wiedersehen, Pet star Maya Woolfe has passed away at the age of 72.
The news was announced by the official social media account of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet:
“With sadness we announce the passing of Maya Woolfe who played Uli in Auf Wiedersehen Pet Series 1, Episode 11, ‘The Lovers’.”
“Maya’s’ many TV appearances included ‘The Professionals’, ‘Bergerac’, and ‘Doctor Who’. We send our deepest sympathy to family and friends at this difficult time.” It concluded.
Following the news of her death, fans recalled her famous line from the Series 1 of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet as they paid her tributes. The quote comes from episode 11, titled "The Lovers," in a scene set in The Tivoli bar.
During the scene, Woolfe’s character Uli questions Oz Osborne about his “inheritance”. The conversation goes – “Uli: ‘so until then, you are just one of the boys?’ Oz: "look again Pet, one of the men."
This quote had a lasting impact on her performance which made her a legendary actor. The comments on social media by her fans highlight the love and admiration they had for her as an actor.

Maya Woolfe’s career spanned almost 20 years. She appeared in some of BBC and ITV’s biggest shows during her successful acting career.
Her role as Uli in Auf Wiedersehen in 1983, became one of the highlights of her career. She also starred as a receptionist in Doctor Who in 1963, as Claire in episode 1 of The Professionals in 1978, as per her IMDb profile.
She played a role as a secretary in series two of The Detectives (1994). C.A.T.S (1985), Bergerac (1983), Tenko (1981), and Wide Alliance (1978) are some of her other work credits, as stated in IMDb.
