Cassie Ventura, who was in a relationship with Sean "Diddy" Combs for 11 years, is pushing back against a legal request from Diddy, aka Sean Combs.
According to reports, Diddy's legal team sent Cassie a subpoena in March, demanding access to her bank records and any drafts, notes, or similar materials related to a book she may have written about Diddy. As per TMZ, the report also requests for,
"Any communications about plans to publish or threaten to publish such a document."
According to Cassie's statement, Diddy's current demands are extensive and should be dismissed. Diddy's attorney had earlier claimed that Cassie once tried to get him to buy the rights to a book she wrote for $30 million, suggesting it would stop the book from being released.
The attorney, Marc Agnifilo, also claimed that when Diddy didn't go through with the deal, Cassie switched lawyers and stated that the book no longer mattered, as she planned to file a civil lawsuit instead.
