Singer Bebe Rexha has responded to a body-shaming comment during a recent Instagram Live. The incident took place on February 27, when a user wrote the following in her Instagram live comment section:

"You look like Marilyn Monroe after she ate Lizzo."

After reading the comment, Rexha replied:

"So honestly, who cares. That's a f**king hater, like, who's bored with their life. Let me see what you look like. Yeah why do... he don't even have a picture on his f**king thing. That's how you know like they're busted."

The clip soon went viral on social media, gaining responses from other users who supported Rexha for her confidence and called out the user for passing negative comments.

Bebe Rexha was at a Dubai charity event when the clip went viral. After the event ended, she soon uploaded a story on TikTok and Instagram with details.

A Bebe Rexha fan account on X, @rxhstan, also uploaded her clip, where the singer was giving a response to the body-shaming comment.

In the clip, the singer also talked about her whereabouts and why she did an Instagram live. She said:

"I just got back from Dubai. I did an amazing charity event, it was so beautiful, and then I did an Instagram live. I haven't done an Instagram live in a very long time. I get back last night, my friends are like, Have you seen the clip that's going viral?"

She further thanked her supportive fans, saying:

"You guys are very nice to me and supportive of me, but I want to say a couple of things. Number one: I am unbothered. Number two: I'm very aware of everything. I know I gained weight. I know I've been through a lot. I know that people know my songs but don't know me, and I haven't gotten the recognition I deserved. But instead of letting that all break me down, it's actually made me feel more powerful."

Rexha revealed that she is working on new music. Additionally, she also told the fans to not feel bad for her, as she is working on herself, and she feels

"stronger than ever."

The singer has previously opened up about the reasons behind her weight gain in The Jennifer Hudson Show by saying:

"I went to the doctor last year, and a lot of women actually have this, and they don't know about it. But they diagnosed me with PCOS, which is Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and it's one of the leading causes of why women gain weight and are obese, and it's like I've literally jumped like 30 pounds so quickly."

Bebe Rexha ended the show by encouraging body positivity and telling people to show love instead of spreading negativity.

Bebe Rexha is a four-time Grammy nominee and winner of the Billboard Music Award for Top Dance/Electronic Song for I'm Good (Blue). The singer has also won the Best Teen Songwriter award.
