Joseph Guillermo Jones II, popularly known as Jim Jones, is an American rapper and record executive. Recently, the Harlem rapper and co-founder of Dipset addressed Kanye West's comments on his social media accounts.
Kanye West lashed out at Kim Jones in a since-deleted post. He tweeted:
"F**k JIM JONES."
Jim Jones recently replied to the tweet. On March 20, 2025, the 48-year-old record executive took to his Instagram account to share a screenshot from his iCloud notes, giving a lighthearted response to Kanye West's claims. He explained that he didn't have the time to acknowledge lies and that he was busy.
He captioned the post as follows:
"He's lucky I don't have time to talk bout lies right now only th truth lol lol lol. “At Th Church Steps" out right now."
Jim Jones's reply followed Kanye West's claims on X, in which the latter accused Jones of cutting off ties with him. He also alleged that Jones also withheld a large sum of cash that, according to the rapper, both of them were supposed to share.
More details on Jim Jones clap back at Kanye West
Since Kanye's tweet, Jones has been giving a series of subtle clap backs. On Wednesday, March 19, Jim seemingly mocked the Can't Tell Me Nothing crooner by merging both of his names, Kanye and Ye, to become KanYe. He tweeted:
"I love KanYE."
After Jones' tweet, Kanye West replied under the post criticizing Jones over an alleged deal. According to Kanye, it seems Jones was paid two million dollars to introduce Kanye to Mr. Pink to discuss a crypto coin. He further explained that Jones didn't tell him anything about the payment nor gave him a cut of the money.

"I KNOW THIS GONNA SOUND LIKE SOME TERRENTINO MOVIE BUT HERE GOES. SOOO JIM JONES GOT PAID 2 MILLION TO INTRODUCE ME TO A GENTLEMAN NAMED MR PINK TO DISCUSS MY CRYPTO COIN AND NEVER TOLD ME HE WAS GETTING 2 MILLION AND NEVER CUT ME IN."
Ye also referred back to a clothing collaboration that the duo worked on. According to the No Mistakes crooner, he asked Jones to make a PDF of something, and the Dipset Co-founder didn't know how to make a PDF, to which Ye indicated that he actually valued the PDF more than money.
"BUT THAT WASNT THE WORST PART WE WERE WORKING ON CLOTHES AND I ASKED HIM FOR A PDF AND THEN THIS N*GGA TOLD ME HE DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE A PDF... BUT I WANT THE PDF MORE THAN THE MONEY."
This series of tweets caused Jones to respond, seemingly alluding that Ye was allegedly under the influence of drugs.
"Ye sniffin' Ye, lol but keep my name alive champ we love KanYE."
As of the time of writing this article, not much is known about the mysterious Mr. Pink, and Kanye West has not responded to Jim Jones' recent Instagram post.
