The popular K-pop icon Psy, also known as Park Jae-sang, has been in the news for a while now. Barely a week ago, the singer and rapper shocked international fans when he individually apologized to every fan who criticized his recent weight loss. It can be recalled that the star posted a side-by-side comparison photo on Valentine's Day this year showcasing his recent weight loss. Still, some fans didn't take kindly to the weight shed, and the singer shockingly decided to give an apology to every one of them.

Psy has made the news again for receiving an honorary diploma from Yonsei University. The educational institution, regarding the honorary degree, says:

"Psy has been highly regarded for raising the name of Yonsei beyond South Korea and for his exemplary activities in the fields of culture, arts, and social contributions."

The singer, who was previously appointed as a special professor at the university's College of Arts, was awarded the degree on February 24, 2025, at the main auditorium of the Sinchon campus in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.
