Hawk Tuah girl Haliey Welch is set to make a return with the documentary "The Truth Is Actually More Bizarre Than You Think”

Haliey Welch, also known as the Hawk Tuah girl, rose to fame after her TikTok video in which she used the catchphrase Hawk Tuah. She recently made her comeback on Instagram. She posted her first reel since December 2024, which shows different rumors about her life that have been floating around. It also announced the release of her documentary,The Truth Is Actually More Bizarre Than You Think.

Haliey Welch returns with a documentary announcement

In a recent press release, Nashville-resident Haliey Welch said:

“I hope y’all been enjoying the crazy stories about ‘my life’ unfold on social media. First, I was dead. Then pregnant. Now I’m wanted by Interpol and in jail! Luckily, we’ve been working with Bungalow to start spilling the tea and the truth is actually even more bizarre than you think.''

The documentary The Truth Is Actually More Bizarre Than You Think will be produced by Bungalow Media + Entertainment. It will explore how Haliey Welch rose to fame - how she went from living a normal life to becoming the viral Hawk Tuah girl on TikTok. It will address the scrutiny she faced and the role social media played in her journey.

The documentary will no doubt be quite entertaining. The official release date has not yet been announced.

After her TikTok video went viral, Haliey reportedly felt embarrassed for some time:

''The first week of it, I was so embarrassed. I wouldn't come out of my house. I went to work, but that's about it. Other than that, I didn't go anywhere. But I went from being embarrassed to living in the moment.''

Haliey Welch then took advantage of the popularity she garnered and began selling Hawk Tuah merchandise. Then in September 2024, she came out with her podcast Talk Tuah. The podcast had high-profile guests, including Mark Cuban, Wiz Khalifa, and Whitney Cummings.

In December 2024, she launched a cryptocurrency meme coin. The coin initially surged in value but then its value dropped, giving the impression of a pump-and-dump scheme. This led to legal trouble for her.

However, with her recent announcement, it seems Haliey Welch is back in action, leaving fans eager to see what’s next.
