Hailey Okula's passing follows the birth of their son after a challenging fertility journey
Hailey and Matthew had been open about their fights with infertility, sharing their experiences with IVF treatments over two years. Their persistence culminated in the birth of their son, Crew, via cesarean section.
Sadly, shortly after delivery, Hailey underwent a cardiac arrest instigated by an amniotic fluid embolism (AFE), a rare and often fatal childbirth complication.
Matthew recalls their final moments together in the delivery room
