Kanye West has uploaded an X post saying Jay-Z is a god who made him a god.
This follows admiration posts that the Flashing Lights singer uploaded on X for Drake not long ago. In an X post about Drake, Ye had asked the latter to perform at his funeral, extending a hand of friendship. However, he soon deleted the post from his X account.
Ye has now uploaded a new post on X for Jay-Z, which says:
"ONLY GODS CAN MAKE GODS JAY Z MADE ME A GOD"
The post suggest that Ye sees Jay-Z as powerful, similar to a God who helped him become great. On the other hand, Kanye also calls himself a God.

Jay-Z and Kanye West's on-and-off friendship

Kanye West and Jay-Z first collaborated on The Blueprint in 2001, where Kanye produced a number of tracks for Jay-Z. Impressed by his talent, Jay-Z signed Kanye to Roc-A-Fella Records, which helped launch Ye's rap career. The duo also released a joint album, Watch the Throne, in 2011.
Their relationship later became complicated, with personal and professional differences creating distance, one of them being Beyonce, besides Jay-Z skipping Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's wedding. However, they have still shown appreciation for each other from time to time.
Jay-Z hasn't commented on Kanye West's X post about him, referring to him as a God.
