Adam Grandmaison, popularly known as Adam22, is a well-known American podcaster and YouTuber. He is also the founder and host of the hip-hop, culture-oriented YouTube podcast No Jumper, which has over four million subscribers and 1.6 billion accumulated views on the video app.

On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, Adam22 announced that his podcast would undergo major downsizing and layoffs to regain financial stability.

That next day, Thursday, April 3, American journalist Vladimir Lyubovny, popularly known as DJ Vlad, went to his official Twitter account to tag the podcast and ask if he should buy it.

“Should I buy @nojumper ?”

Adam22 didn't find the tweet funny, so he swiftly responded under the same thread.

“Hostile takeover," Adam replied.

The intention behind DJ Vlad's tweet is uncertain as the American journalist hasn't responded to Adam's reply.

More details on Adam22’s No Jumper financial issues

Adam22 recently came to discuss the issues No Jumper has been experiencing lately. During the Wednesday episode of the podcast, Adam22 shared the major losses the company has experienced in the past months.

“First, we lost the No Jumper Instagram. After almost 10 years of building it up and essentially no strikes on our account, we got taken down one day, and we still have absolutely no idea why,” he said.

He said some of the steps taken include closing the No Jumper store in Los Angeles, selling their warehouse and relocating to a smaller venue, and laying off multiple employees.

“To be honest, aside from the lay-offs, I’m pretty happy about all those changes. I’ve realised that I should have paid more attention to DJ Vlad and kept my overhead as low as possible, particularly in terms of staff and location. I’m confident that once we get the building sold, we will be in a pretty solid financial position again as a business,” the 41-year-old confessed.

He also mentioned that the lawsuit filed against the company by a previous employee, Yuriy, who alleges workplace misconduct, will cause the company to suffer devastating financial loss.

“It's insane to me that a person that we did so much for can just invent some grievances out of thin air and cost us this much money. As a result, this person has literally lost every single friend that he used to have when he worked at No Jumper."

He continued:

“His streaming career has completely tanked, and he even got kicked off the podcast that he left No Jumper to start. But somehow, that's our reality, and we have to fight this rather than just give in to this piece of shit.”

In January, Adam also addressed the lawsuit, which at that time involved another former employee, Rylee Garcia, who accused the podcast of wrongful termination and sexual harassment. In his latest podcast, Adam readdressed the claims, strongly denying them and stating that the crew went out of their way to make Garcia feel comfortable.

At the time of writing this article, the total number of employees laid off is unknown, as is whether there will still be more discharges. However, it seems Adam22 has no intention of selling the company.
